Since Russia commenced its attack on Ukraine three weeks ago, ten thousand war refugees arrived in Berlin almost every day. Now, there is some relief for the German capital: Hanover and Cottbus are being turned into additional hubs.
Berliners donate tons of clothes, food, hygiene articles and other items every day. Katja Kipping, the city state's Senator of Social Affairs, visited a collecting point in Tempelhof. She said the allocation of refugees in Germany did not work yet.
This past weekend, the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine still was on most people's minds. While tens of thousands protested against it, hundreds kept on helping the thousands of war refugees who arrived.
